Social Responsibility – COVID-19
With world events beyond our control, the City is pro-active in adjusting our services in an effort to keep our residents and staff healthy. The Shelby Civic Center is closed. With no way of cleaning 24/7, we feel it best to keep the facility closed in conjunction with the school closure. We are sorry we have to do this, but feel the health of all our residents is a priority. We have also changed our City Hall bill payment process. The main lobby is closed, but you are able to pay utility bills through the drive-up window; on-line and via mail. All staff are here to continue to answer questions and we can be reached at 434-5222. The City Shop has also adopted new measures. They ask you call ahead when using the landfill/scale. City Shop can be reached at 434-5564. Building Inspector, Rob Tasker can also be reached at 434-5564.

These measures are meant to protect us all. We hope everyone will be understanding and use common sense as we wade through these new waters. Hopefully, all facilities and services will return to normal in a very short time.

Thanks,

Lorette
